Sina Bowyer CEO, Screenwriter and Producer
Sina Bowyer is a screenwriter-producer, and the founder of Red Rug Productions. Prior to completing the short eco-thriller Crude, Sina travelled to New Mexico with her co-producer Peter Jonas for production meetings and to scout key locations for The Contessa, and has consolidated a highly experienced executive and production team there. She is now working with UK and US financial advisors for The Contessa, and marketing Nefarious with a view to European co-production opportunities. Learning her writing craft via LA based Masterclasses in high concept screenwriting and film-making from 2006-8, Sina later graduated with a Masters in Screenwriting from the prestigious Royal Holloway, University of London in 2011. Her script White Royal was a finalist in the Script Pipeline contest and was later selected for a development award, and Sina was hired to co-write a spec feature for an Italian director in 2016. Peter Jonas is an international film producer, artist and photographer originally from Cape Town and living in London. He brings his consummate networking and marketing skills to Red Rug Productions, acting as the key contact for stakeholders and investors in the company’s feature slate. He has led high profile arts projects involving local communities and celebrities in South Africa, USA and the UK, featuring in national press and on television. As the creative director of Art in Five Cities, a social regeneration project and planned documentary, Peter seeks international partners and sponsors to launch the next stage of this exciting project to connect small communities on an international scale, via public art and social media.
